Webfargo has worked with Salix Pharmaceuticals for over three years, providing IT
security management for both internal and perimeter network devices. "As one might
expect from a growing pharmaceutical company such as Salix, IT security is a high

The new agreement includes both proactive services, such as ongoing management of
multiple IT security and network devices, as well as traditional consulting and
support on an as-needed basis. "This will allow us to provide Salix the proactive

demand resources for new projects or support," said Salisbury.

The managed services contract has grown since its inception in 2003, with the number
of devices covered more than doubling and the number and type of services provided
rising proportionally. "Our security needs have increased over the years, and
Webfargo has been right there with us all the way," said English. "As we manage our
growing network, we have come to rely on their insight and expertise to provide us
the security data and insight we need to make informed decisions."
